The film festival is touring across the world and the next stop is Devon, England.
Following a global tour from Santa Cruz, USA to the Gold Coast of Australia, the Save The Waves Film Festival 2025 will be taking place in Croyde, North Devon on Friday 15th August 2025.
Featuring a selection of films and surf stories from around the world, the Save The Waves Film Festival brings together powerful films about surf, people and the planet.
All films will be screened outdoors on a giant screen in the heart of the North Devon World Surfing Reserve.

Films being shown:
- Baja Born and Raised – A local surfer carries Baja’s surf and fishing legacy.
- Erwin – A 71-year-old surfer whose love of the waves won’t fade.
- O Mentor no Mar – Mentorship and ocean conservation in the Azores.
- One Shot: Glacier Surfing – A surf trip chasing glacier waves in Greenland.
- Riding the Sardine Run – Following the world’s largest marine migration in South Africa.
- Timely Travel – A soulful journey exploring surfing and sustainability.
- Visions – From workshop to the world’s most dangerous wave.
- We Are Like Waves – Sanu’s journey as a pioneering female surfer in Sri Lanka.

Bring a blanket, camping mat or chair.
Food and drinks will also be available to buy, served up by the team at The Lazy Wave and Freshwell Camping.
