Showcasing the world’s best mountain, outdoor and adventure films, the Banff Mountain Film Festival will come to Devon in 2026.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, now in its 17th year, will take place across more than 50 locations in the UK and Ireland in during spring and autumn 2026, including three nights in Exeter, Devon.
This year’s line-up of film cover a wide range of experiences, including an extraordinary climbing adventure in Patagonia and an Arctic expedition on Baffin Island, along with personal stories about friendship, family, creativity, and athletic passion.
The festival films were chosen from hundreds of entries at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, which takes place each year in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
The films portray people who take on challenges, forge new paths, and reflect on their relationship with nature, sport, and themselves.

“The Banff Mountain Film Festival showcases the year’s most inspiring stories of adventure, with cutting-edge expeditions, extraordinary human resilience and the enduring magic of wild places.” said Nell Teasdale, Tour Director.
Many of the films also highlight environmental issues and the importance of protecting the planet’s fragile ecosystems.
The film festival has a loyal following all over the world and continues to inspire audiences to seek out adventure, big or small, in their own lives.
